My Story
From Survivor to Guide: A Clinician’s Journey of Advocacy and Healing
I am Alfred White—a lived-experience advocate, Black neurodivergent clinician, and survivor of transgenerational trauma, ABEs/ACEs (Adverse Baby/Childhood Experiences), and developmental attachment wounds. My personal journey from adversity to healing is the foundation of my mission: to empower marginalized communities, especially seniors and trauma survivors, to reclaim their autonomic resilience and rewrite their life stories.
As a clinically certified HeartMath Institute Heart-Brain Coherence Practitioner, I integrate neuroscience, trauma-informed care, and advanced biofeedback tools to help individuals rebuild their mind-body connection. My approach is grounded in the belief that stress, anxiety, and dysregulation are not life sentences, but signals guiding us toward deeper healing and transformation.
Professionally, I hold a Master of Arts in Christian Ministry (MACM, with a focus on Mental Health), and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA), and a Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP). Since 2021, I have also been a clinically certified UNYTE Health Practitioner, holding advanced certifications in the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) and I am currently getting certified in the Integrated Listening System (ILS). These evidence-based, bottom-up interventions are rooted in Polyvagal Theory and are designed to address the neurobiological roots of trauma, chronic stress, addiction, and health disparities.
Throughout my career, I have created educational materials and advocacy content on trauma-informed care, community wellness, and social issues such as gun violence, addiction, homelessness, and mental health—particularly @ "Drug Court" and in Burien @ ("Schick Shadel Hospital ") also featured client @ the "Seattle's Union Gospel Mission's", "2010" Fundraiser. My work with TLOEP is centered on culturally responsive, nutritionally informed, and community-driven healing. I am dedicated to advancing social equity, supporting seniors, and helping individuals and families break cycles of adversity through innovative, accessible, and evidence-based care.
I invite you to explore our programs and resources, and to join us in building a future where every person can access the tools and support needed to heal, connect, and thrive.
